Bermuda 2001
Bermuda is a fun place to ride a bike, assuming you do not mind riding on the left side of the road!  After several trips to Bermuda with a road bike, I decided in the fall of 2001  to rent a mountain bike for a week.  This turned out to be the best week of biking I have ever had on the Island!

Traffic in Bermuda can be brutal at rush hours.  It seems that everyone is on the roads at those times headed to or from Hamilton.  The best times to ride are mornings after the rush hour has subsided.  Most of the best biking is on the southern roads, but the entire Island (something like 20 miles from tip to tip) can easily be traversed.

Having a moutain bike allows you to link up roads with the many stretches of rail trails.  Once you learn the routes, you can have a blast.  The problem is that many of the rail trails are not marked.
