What a wild weekend this was! Colt, Steve, and I headed to Waterville Valley for this camp. Little did we know that it was Laconia Bike Week. The condo village was loaded with Canadians on Harleys. Many did not speak English (or want to know how!) Also, it rained the entire weekend but Dirt Camp went on anyway. We all crashed numerous times during the "skills" drills.....obstacle courses, slolom races, and so forth. The trail riding was awesome....full of huge climbs, roots, rocks, and many stream crossings. The last day, our instructor Andy took us on a trip to ride his private stock of trails. This by itself was worth the ride to New Hampshire ! |
