Cycling in the Caribbean

Quiz- Can you quess where this photo was taken?
(Hint- It is not in the US Southwest)

Answer
For quite a few years I have been dragging bikes to the islands.  I can't even remember which of the islands was first.   Several times I have started to write an article on the subject only to find the task too daunting.  The information is always changing and some islands deserve much more attention than others.

This past fall I finally put something onto my website about
Bermuda. After several trips there I felt that I finally "knew" the cycling scene there.

I am now adding several more islands visited in December 2002, all of which I have been to multiple times with the exception of Aruba.  One trip to Aruba was enough....haha.

Cycling in the Caribbean is always an adventure.  You never know what you are going to find.  It is one of the best ways to see an island and meet the people who live there.  On several of the islands you can easily do up to 50 mile rides.

I hope you enjoy the following photos and short write-ups.  Some of the islands are truly spectacular for riding.  Feel free to contact me is you have any questions.    ---   Dave
